In 2011, Manuel Sicairos started as beamline scientist at the cSAXS beamline, Swiss Light Source, Paul Scherrer Institut.
Manuel received the 2019 ICO prize and is a Fellow Member of the OSA and Fellow Member of the SPIE for his contributions to novel approaches in X-ray coherent imaging including X-ray holography, to phase retrieval, ptychography, small-angle X-ray scattering, and tomography. He is also co-recipient of the 2014 Innovation Award on Synchrotron Radiation for high-resolution 3D hard X-ray microscopy and the 2021 Innovation Award on Synchrotron Radiation 2021 for ground-breaking research and technology development enabling and implementing small-angle scattering tensor tomography.
His research interest is in development of methods and advanced algorithms for computational imaging, in particular related to X-ray nanoimaging in synchrotron and free-electron laser sources.
