FAQ

What is DanScatt?

Danscatt is an instrument centre for the Danish users of synchrotron- and neutron-sources as well as free-electron X-ray lasers.

DANSCATT is supported by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education.

How do I apply for funding?

DanScatt has more than 500 users, and we have therefore chosen that institutes form groups and memberships. This means that the institutes choose a contact person who will then be responsible for the institute’s grant.
Contact DanScatt Manager Anne Mette Persdotter to create a new group.

New funding opportunities for Students: In addition to supporting trips to experiments at synchrotron, neutron and free electron X-ray laser facilities, DanScatt also co-finances students’ participation in education-oriented activities at large scale facilities. This applies only to BSc, MSc and PhD students who are participating in a project or course at a Danish university and as part of this engage in one or more experimental activities at large-scale facilities that are included in activities funded by DanScatt. The degree of financing is decided by the Chair and Vice Chair of DanScatt on the basis of application. Applications are welcome any time and must be submitted by the person overall responsible of the course or the project (training manager). Please send your application to ampe@dtu.dk. Applications will be evaluated continuously and the applicant will get feedback as soon as possible.
