DIBS is the Danish Instruments for Big Science conference series existing since 2015. DIBS’23 is the 7th event in this series, where industry, academia, Research Infrastructures and others with an interest in large scale scientific instruments meet.
DIBS’23 takes place on January 23rd 2023 at the Mærsk McKinney Møller Institute at SDU in Odense,
Denmark. This is the first time SDU is hosting this event.
This year, the theme of the event is remote handling in relation to instruments. This includes of course
robotics, but also a number of associated activities related to operating scientific instruments in hostile
environments where temperature, radiation, vacuum, or distance makes human intervention difficult or even impossible.
At DIBS’23, you will meet other researchers and hear their presentations of their latest instruments. You will hear industry representatives pitching their solutions to e.g. remote handling, and you will get an overview of what is happening in the Big Science world. Roll-ups and posters will be presented and a small exhibition will take place during the coffee breaks.
DIBS’23 is organized by several Danish universities and BigScience.dk.
